City Hearts
City Hearts exists to help young vulnerable women and has the capacity to house up to 30 women at any one time. The Rehabilitation House is a residential programme for women overcoming serious life issues such as drug and alcohol addictions, self harm, unplanned pregnancies, depression and eating disorders. The Safe House provides a place of safety for women coming out of prostitution and women who have been rescued from human trafficking.
Summer 2011
Welcome to a brand new season for City Hearts!
Watching the rehabilitation programme expand with loads of new women coming in to start their journey, and being able to use the Safe House to help more women than ever since the start of 2011 has been a real privilege. We're expectant for a brilliant year for all the women who come through City Hearts.
We've also had training for staff and volunteers from the amazing Dr Anita Rose and Dr Funso Olarinde, and have more coming up, giving us great tools to help the women in the best way possible.
We've just had loads of girls from the University of Sheffield Politics Society join us in volunteering as the Safe House, which is brilliant! Thank you so much to all of you who put time, effort and finance into this project - you are literally transforming lives!
