Application Process
There is a formal application process for each woman entering City Hearts.
1. Fill in an application Form
2. An interview with City Hearts Manager
3. Accept and sign the House Policy
4. Abide by the House Rules and Personal Development Plan
City Hearts will consider applications from women that are:
- Between the age of 18 and 30 years old and suffering with either an alcohol or drug addiction, self harm, life out of prostitution, eating disorder, depression or unplanned pregnancy.
- Women suffering with Psychosis problems. However it should be noted that City Hearts will thoroughly investigate as to whether the appropriate level of care can be provided in this project for individuals in this situation.
- Ready for a life change and willing to work through a 12 month programme.
City Hearts will refer women to other agencies if it is felt that this programme is not suitable for them.
Pregnant Women
City Hearts is able to take women that are pregnant and ensure that they are given the necessary support, anti-natal provision and practical training and advice to prepare them for parenting. City Hearts will also assist women in finding the right accommodation and continued support for when their baby is born.
Trafficked Women
City Hearts accepts women who have been rescued from the Sex Trafficking Industry. City Hearts works in conjunction with the Police, Social Services, Migrant Helpline, the Poppy Project and other national organisations to provide a safe refuge for women trafficked into the UK who require short to medium term stay in the UK. City Hearts will continue to support those women wishing to stay longer in the UK to find work, housing and other resources as required.
