She Is...
She Is, is happening in every city, uniting the women in your city for profound evenings that will change your life (even your wardrobe!!!)
Each one of our 5 UK cities will have it's own theme and charity that will provide influence and power in broken women's lives in your city linked with our rehabilitation program, City Hearts, changing your city one woman at a time.
Each night will include vision, inspiration and if you're lucky, chocolate.
We want She Is to grow and flourish into a strong company of women who are always on the move and catching the Fathers heart for their city. Check out the She Is page for your city on the left and book the dates in your diary!
Enjoy the nights and I'll see you soon!

EYES WIDE OPEN
Believe it or not there was a time a century ago when people believed that the silent movies were the cutting edge technology. Then off course along came the talkies and then after that along came the colour movies. Ever since that time technology and change have sped on at a dizzying pace.
It is amazing however that the skeptics said way back then that talking movies would never catch on, and they said the same again when the colour movies were introduced. They either embraced change or approached with an attitude of incredible cynicism. They had their eyes wide shut and couldn’t embrace a better future. We are meant as women to have a wide open spirit that embraces change, welcomes advancement and celebrates a life filled with new things!
It is so easy just to do life, and not even be aware of the season we are in. Jacob did that when he said in Genesis 28 ,” Surely the Lord is in this place and I was not aware of it.” Hope City Girls, our lack of awareness needs to stop, and we need to see that our God constantly wants to bring change into our worlds. I love the way Isaiah 42:16 says “I will lead the blind along ways they have not known.” God doesn’t want us to look at our today or indeed our future with the filter of yesterday’s experience. Sometimes if we feel uncomfortable and a bit vulnerable it is actually a good thing, as God has placed us in the perfect position for the new thing he wants to do in our lives.
At this time of year it is hard to imagine, but remember when those fabulous new green shoots and amazing flowers spring up in the spring months. God always wants green new shoots bursting out of our lives. The Bible talks about a people who are literally flourishing. Psalm 92:12 is a classic.
“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree; they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon planted in the house of the Lord. They will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age. They will stay fresh and green.”
Flourish is a funny, even old fashioned word. It makes you think of Granny’s knitting somehow. In actual fact it is an incredibly expressive word. It means to grow luxuriantly; to increase and enlarge and to prosper. More amazingly, it means to thrive in prominence and influence; to be busy in activity and production and to be bold and sweeping in movements. It is a word that should challenge us. When was the last time we were bold and sweeping in movement. That statement demands us to do something that challenges the status quo in our worlds. It challenges us as women to truly flourish in life. It challenges us to demand more of ourselves and to reach out to those around us in ways we have not demanded of ourselves before. Flourishing does not discriminate between ages and even embraces us beautiful girls who are counting up the years. You are never too old or too young to flourish!!
This is our day girls. Our day to live beyond ourselves. Our day to say no to containment and confinement. Our day to see the big picture. Our day to embrace the new thing... Our day to flourish.
